The Office for Inclusion and Diversity: Fall Review 2016
In his September State of the University Address, President Sands kicked off the semester committing to diversity and inclusion as key focuses going forward. He affirmed that committing to inclusion and diversity is a responsibility shared by both the university and the individual. Over the course of this semester, the Office for Inclusion and Diversity has worked with administrators, staff, faculty, and students to ensure that diversity and inclusion are priorities at here at Virginia Tech. We are pleased to share our Fall 2016 programs with you
As part of ensuring an affirming campus climate, the Office for Inclusion and Diversity sponsored #VTUnfinished, a series of gatherings to listen, share, and learn about issues of identity and difference. 200 faculty, staff, administrators, students, and community members participated. To get a better sense of the transformational potential of #VTUnfinished, especially if you could not participate in the unfinished conversations, we invite you to view this video:
We look forward to serving Virginia Tech in the spirit of community, diversity, and excellence in the new year.
With warm wishes for the holiday season,
