Indigenous Peoples Day

Virginia Tech’s Office for Inclusion & Diversity recognizes and celebrates Native communities on this Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We honor those first peoples and their invaluable contributions through our continued dedication to InclusiveVT, our institutional and individual commitment to Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) in the spirit of community, diversity, and excellence. We especially honor members of the Tutelo and Monacon Peoples, whose ancestral homeland is the site on which members of the Virginia Tech community live and work.

Please join me in our celebrations of these communities, hosted by our American Indian and Indigenous Community Center. It is my sincere hope that these events will deepen our appreciation, acknowledgment, engagement with and education about native and indigenous communities.
