Diverse Professionals Network
What is the Diverse Professionals’ Network?
The Diverse Professionals’ Network (DPN) is a networking initiative that aims to connect underrepresented colleagues across the New River and Roanoke Valleys. In the spirit of Ut Prosim, we are committed to building community, increasing representational diversity, and creating a warm campus climate through community gatherings hosted in Roanoke, Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Radford, and more! The goal of DPN is to create positive culture of diversity and inclusion in and beyond Blacksburg. The DPN focuses attention on the needs of underrepresented minority faculty, staff and community members so that they can feel more whole as they engage with and educate Virginia Tech students. The Diverse Professionals Network aligns with the goals of the InclusiveVT Difference that aims to create a more just and inclusive world where Hokies are prepared to be of service to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
