Hi, I’m Zora Dancy! I am a Jersey native majoring in Communications with a minor in Africana Studies, as a part of the Calhoun Discovery Honors Program. This program has given me the opportunity to work on interdisciplinary projects with students and professionals from a variety of majors and backgrounds. Over the last few years at Tech, I have been able to participate on the boards for the Sexual Violence & Culture Committee, the Caribbean Student Organization as a community liaison and Girl Gains as their marketing chair. I have spent time volunteering with SAAS at local Blacksburg elementary and middle schools, and volunteering at my local food bank back home. In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, and consider myself an avid traveler. I look forward to serving my community as part of this new position.
